When you don't have the words

This morning I'm sending two greeting cards.

One is to my friend who just had a miscarriage and the other is to my friend who got pregnant after about a week of trying.

My heart is truly torn in two as I celebrate with one and cry with the other. The word come easy for one, but what can I say to the other...

That is so hard, there is nothing you can say. Congratulations to one, and I am sooooo sorry to the other:( So hard.

I had to send a similar card last year and I wrote to her that if I hadn't had my miscarriage I wouldn't have my son.

Sorry for your friend's loss :(

Talk about bittersweet.

I can so empathize with the former ... but know the joy of the latter.
