'Tis the Season

Back in my day, decorating for Halloween consisted of hanging a festive wreath on the door and some paper cutouts in the windows...

In my town, it's an event that rivals Christmas with the flashing lights, inflatable yard decorations, and mood music. We just happened to have the camera with us when were were passing by one neighborhood that really got in the SPIRIT...

One family had its very own inflatable haunted house in the front yard... and you can too. The description for it is as follows...

Standing at an impressive 12-1/2', our inflatable castle is guarded by gargoyles with glowing eyes and spooky ghosts waving from the windows. Step in, and suspended spiders and bats with flashing eyes are there to greet you. Strobe lights and synchronized creepy sounds add to the fun.

Another family was simply not content with just one inflatable monstrosity. They had TWELVE on one side of their house...

... along with a pumpkin patch on the other.

My apologizes for the rather dark photos, but they only come out at night.

Can't wait to see the Christmas ones come up around here. Ironically it is hot as anything during the Christmas season and everyone does White Christmas and the like!

It is a sickness. Apparently it can be treated :)

That is "outta control" - what great fun. I'm not the biggest Halloween fan myself, but I do love that other people are. See ya.l

Your blog is so pretty! How did you get it like that with blogspot?? I've tried. You must be an html goddess, or be a really good kisser! Both, I'm sure :)

Jealousy is dripping from my finger tips as I type, if you don't mind me saying? I have done the best that I know how to, but you my dear are the grand supreme of blog rockstars!!

Rock on.
