Bleck!

That's how I feel today. BLECK!

I lost my voice earlier this week. The stress and travel of the Thanksgiving weekend finally wore me down and I have another cold. I'm tired. I'm stuffy. I'm foggy. I just want to lay down...

Unfortunately, that's just not possible when you're home with a toddler.... particularly one that outwitted the childproofing months ago.

My cries of "No! Don't touch that! It's poison!" sounded more like a bad Mickey Mouse impression than a stern warning... and was just about as effective. Probably best to do like the characters at the theme parks and stay silent.

Did you know that the "head characters" at the Disney parks aren't allowed to talk? Oh, and there is only ONE Mickey Mouse.

I know. Weird!!

Today, I am grateful for the magical moment when I get to collapse into my bed for the night and sleep off this ICK! In the meantime, I have a house to pick up. My son kind of took advantage of the fact that I just didn't bring my "A game" today.

Kids are like animals; they smell weakness! Feel better soon!

I know what you mean...There are days when I feel like all I do is say "no, don't ____!"...All day. Raising two toddlers is exhausting. Hope tom. is a better day. (Just wait till you have two)

Sammy is JUST starting to discover ways around the "gates" we have up...

I am in for lots of moments like that to come!

I am glad I am not one of those Disney characters. I would be 'quietly shouting inside' within minutes, if I wasn't allowed to talk!!

Hope you feel better soon...

I know it may sound gross but try adding a little apple cider vinegar to a cup of hot tea a few time a day. I got this from another blog and it wiped out something I had coming on (I could feel my ears getting stopped up) in 24 hours. It also worked for my husband.

Oh, and I too am thankful for the quiet time after they all go to bed.

Try not to watch Mucinex commercials or as someone I know describe it as, the commercial with the "Little Green Snot Guy"...It seems to have the effect of making one feel worse...

Hope you get to feeling better.

*le sigh*. You're telling me that poison phrase didn't work? DANG! If I could count the times in a day I'd say No!
