I'm sorry that I had a difficult time keeping up the Photo Hunt over the holidays, but I'm back...... and I brought a delicious chocolate cake. Now do you forgive me????
Do you notice how it barely fit on my cake stand? That's because it was a foot and a half tall and meant to serve twenty-five... Trust me. It was a LOT of cake!I wish I could take all the credit for this lovely, towering confection, but I can't. It was ordered from a local mom n' pop bakery for Hubby's birthday two years ago. I'm sad to say that the bakery has since gone out of business and all I have to remember them by is this photo...
Oh, and the million or so pounds I still haven't lost from eating cake leftovers for an entire week. You know what they say, "a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips". We shared plenty of moments, this cake and I.

That's an amazing looking cake. I can hardly imagine having the nerve to cut it. I'd be afraid it would topple but I'd be happy to eat the part that fell.
