Yes, Eh, and Only Because You Keep Talking About It

It rains a lot in England, but it seems redundant to even mention it.

Everyone already knows that it rains a lot in England, and whether or not they've ever been here, everyone likes to point it out to us.... constantly.
"Oh it rains there a lot, doesn't it..."

"I bet you're sick of all of the rain already..."

"You must being going crazy with it raining all the time..."
People comment on the rain so much that sometimes, just to be contrary, I want to contradict them and say, "Well actually, it doesn't"

Of course, I don't because that would be a lie as it DOES rain here a lot, but you already knew that, now didn't you?

I don't even know why this makes me so cranky. It's not you. Promise.

I think I'm just sick of all the rain...

Rain is actually quite lovely (except when I'm forced to travel in it). I would love to visit London, rain and all, someday.

I actually like the rain. It forces you to get more creative with the kids (or gives you an excuse to watch movies)

I'm in Brussels & we get the rain right after you do. It keeps everything nice a green & you always have an excuse for a slightly dirty car!

I get very sick of the rain. I just spent a month in Australia and it rained and when it wasn't raining, it was hailing, but there were brief moments of sunshine. I was glad to come back to California.
