From Two to Thirteen... Overnight

As I was getting ready a few weeks ago, I heard some early morning rustling coming from my son's room.

Hurray! He's awake!

(Yes, I actually do miss my son when he sleeps... sometimes.)

I called out "Good Morning, Son!", and ran over to his door only to find that he was barricading it shut.

"Won't you let me in, Honey?"

"No, Mommy. My room. Go away," was all the "Good Morning, too" that I got that day and it BROKE. MY. HEART.

The kid's TWO!!!

I thought he'd love me forever and ever for at least another... I don't know, ten years or so.

I guess they do grow up too fast. Way too fast.

Oh, my young grasshopper, wait until he LOCKS it. While demolishing the toilet in tp and poo. Those days are coming.....

oh I hear you.

Miss M (age 2) woke up this morning. Her twin brother was still asleep. I thought for sure I would get in a little one on one snuggle time with her. She had other plans. Such as standing in the middle of the living room screaming at the top of her lungs b/c all she wanted was her brother. Come give mama a hug. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Well alrighty then.
